What Your Kids Will Experience

For three mornings this June, The Oak Church becomes an ancient Roman marketplace. Your kids will meet the Apostle Paul, hear his real-life stories from the book of Romans, play high-energy games, create crafts in Marketplace Shops, and worship alongside other kids from Georgetown.

This isn't daycare with a Bible verse stapled on. Every song, every craft, every story points kids to one thing: God's love — given freely through Jesus.
Each morning includes:

  • Opening worship and celebration (Extollo)
  • Small-group Family Time with trained leaders
  • Marketplace shops — crafts, food tastings, daily drama
  • Paul & the Underground Church — Bible story and teaching
  • Apprenticeship Games — high-energy group games
  • Closing celebration

FAQ's

Do I need to be a member of the church?
No. Most of the kids who come to VBS aren't part of our church. Bring your kids, bring your neighbor's kids, bring the whole block.
Do parents stay during VBS?
No — this is a drop-off program. Parents check their child in at 8:45 AM and pick them up at 12:00 PM.
What should my child wear?
Comfortable clothes and closed-toe shoes they can run in. We'll be doing games, crafts, and moving between stations.
Is there a snack?
Yes. A light snack is provided mid-morning. Allergy info is collected at registration so we can accommodate.
What if my child has never been to church before?
Perfect. That's exactly who VBS is built for. Our leaders are trained to meet every kid where they are.
What happens after VBS?
We'd love to see your family again. Sunday service is at 10:00 AM with full children's ministry. But there's no pressure — VBS is a gift to our community.
